Color Me Mine Joins Sothebyís Auction House as Co-Sponsor of Rett Syndrome Research Foundation Charity EventVan Nuys, CA, (January 10, 2001): Color Me Mine Enterprises, Inc., http://www.colormemine.com, announced today that it will join Sothebyís as a co-sponsor of the ěLegends of Our Timeî Charity Art Show and Auction to take place at a special event at Sothebyís Auction House in Chicago on September 20, 2001. Over 150 famous personalities including Rosie OíDonnell, Tom Cruise, Julia Roberts, Regis Philbin, Clint Eastwood, Richard Gere, artist Peter Max, Jimmy Buffet, Cameron Crowe, Mandy Patinkin, Chef Julia Childs, David Bowie, Pete Townsend and Roger Daltry from The Who, and cartoonist, Cathy Guisewite will hand-paint plates which will be shown in various public space throughout the country and then auctioned at the September 20 event. Judges will include Event Co-Chair Wendy Friedman states, ěEvery component of the event, from Sothebyís venue, the reception catered by mk restaurant, the ceramic paints by Mayco and the ceramic plates, firing and glazing by Color Me Mine has been donated so that 100% of the proceeds will go to Rett research.î Color Me Mine will head up the logistics of getting materials to each celebrity then arranging for the finished plates to be sent to Sothebyís in Chicago. Additionally local Color Me Mine Franchise Owners will also assist celebrities in their painting techniques.Linda Spira, Director of Marketing for Color Me Mine Enterprises adds, ěWe are pleased to be participating in this important event. Our Franchise Owners have regularly participated in celebrity painting auctions that benefit various charities and are eager to assist the Rett Syndrome Research Foundation.
